For the 2020 model year, the Chevrolet Equinox only receives slight revisions. However, this doesn’t mean it’s not a worthy SUV for you to consider. In fact, the 2020 Equinox continues to offer the same great features as years past. For instance, when it comes to technology, you get HD radio, navigation, 4G LTE connectivity, satellite radio, Bluetooth®*, USB ports, Android AutoTM, Apple CarPlayTM, and more.
In terms of the engine, there are two options: a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder paired to a six-speed automatic transmission or a turbocharged 2.0-liter that comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Both options are great, giving you plenty of power. When it comes to your safety, the Equinox adds blind-spot monitoring, automatic headlights, forward collision alert, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, a rearview camera, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and much more. As you can see, the 2020 Equinox brings plenty to the table. Consider the Equinox today!
The Chevrolet Equinox was among the earlier crossover SUVs, debuting in 2005. It had the versatility of an SUV with the handling of a car. Unlike other SUVs of the time, it was designed for on-road use instead of off-roading. Even so, the AWD system offered traction and stability on all road surfaces. Some of the features on the first Equinox included the MultiFlex sliding rear seat, a 1,500-pound towing capacity, electronic stability control, heated front seats, and leather upholstery. The available trim levels expanded for the 2017 model year, and navigation became an option. A new Sport trim was added in 2008 with its own 263-horsepower engine. 2008 also saw some reshuffling and renaming of trims, with the LT3 being replaced by the high-end LTZ. Additionally, for this model year, Chevrolet upgraded the suspension and included OnStar and Electronic Trailer Sway Control as standard. Bluetooth* became an option the following year, which is also when satellite radio and side-impact airbags became standard. The second-generation Equinox arrived as a 2010 model with a slightly larger wheelbase and slight decrease in overall length, a new grille, revised headlights, the new Eco drive mode, and improved fuel economy.
